Belonging Based Leadership Certification Workshop
We are excited to have Ms. Montrece Ransom JD, MPH, BCC, PCC who will provide an interactive, comprehensive 5.5-hour workshop tailored to equip leaders in MCAH with the essential facets of fostering a sense of belonging. Attendees will acquire tangible skills to implement principles of equity, social and racial justice, and belonging into their everyday work. The workshop, conducted through a combination of reflections, worksheets, and individual and group exercises, will furnish participants with invaluable 21st-century leadership competencies gaining insights into building authentic connections, aligning teams, and nurturing and sustaining a sense of belonging among the workforce, colleagues, and the communities they serve. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be awarded a certificate in Belonging-Based Leadership, signifying their commitment to and proficiency in cultures of belonging. Attendees will also depart with practical insights and skills that they can share and apply immediately. As an added benefit, each participant will receive a 6-month subscription to Montrece’s exclusive Belonging-Based Leadership Coaching Platform. This platform offers a wealth of articles, tools, and resources to sustain and deepen their learning journey, ensuring a continuous and impactful application of newfound knowledge.

Montrece McNeill Ransom, JD, MPH, PCC, BCC is an ICF-certified executive leadership Coach and a DEI-certified belonging strategist on a mission to unleash the power of human potential through belonging. Ms. Ransom was appointed as a Presidential Management Fellow and worked at CDC for almost 20 years. For the last 10 years of her service, Ms. Ransom led CDC’s public health law-related training and workforce development efforts. She received her law degree from the University of Alabama, her MPH from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, and her Executive Leadership Coaching Certification from Georgetown University. In addition, she has received a certificate in training and facilitation from the Association of Talent Development and a DEI in the Workplace certification from the University of South Florida. She currently serves as the Director of the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training within the National Network of Public Health Institutes.
