The WIC Worksite Wellness program embodies the local, state and national focus on the value of primary prevention. Through helping Local Agencies set up policies, the focus will be to step up the workplace culture, where it will be easier for employees to adopt healthy lifestyle choices, and make it unlikely for them to pick up unhealthy practices.

The WIC Worksite Wellness program provides guidance and resources to WIC local agencies who want to firmly establish a culture of prevention where wellness is integral to the daily work routines. By building capacity at the local level, we hope that the principles and practices of healthy living will be embraced not just by WIC employees and their families, but by the larger community.

Partner with us on development, research and evaluation
Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices towards, a more successful existence. To support people in making these healthy lifestyle choices, it is first necessary to create an environment where these choices are available.

We are committed to creating and sustaining a wellness program that is realistic and effective for our diverse population. We have to measure in order to improve. We welcome partnerships with academic institutions, wellness organizations and integrative wellness coaches to help us make the WIC Worksite Wellness program as best as it can be.
