Virtual Grow Our Own Course Information

Earn 106 hours of lactation specific education, which includes 5 hours of communication skills necessary to sit for the IBCLC exam. Provider approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing (pending), CEP 13623 for 90 contact hours.

The Grow Our Own Lactation Consultant/IBCLC Prep Course meets the following requirements:

• Joint Commission Core Measures for Perinatal Care US Breastfeeding Competencies
• Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative Training
• IBCLC Detailed Content Outline

Our Course is Approved by the Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC). Grow Our Own will provide: A notebook and textbook – Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care.
